This was more of a 3.5 stars for me. It was a light and quick read which I breezed through without finding any major issues with it. This was also the second book I've read in a short period of time in which the mom, who has a big secret, disguising her behavior as "over-protectiveness", acts like a nutcase. I had to raise my eyebrow a few times at the things she did and said.
The book also has some pretty funny moments which made me smile and sometimes laugh out loud. Although, it's not among my favorite books, I did enjoy it and with that cliffhanger I will for sure be reading the second one.
