This meme where the designer, photographer and/or illustrator of a favorite cover is featured is hosted by Five Alarms Book Reviews, I loved the idea since I always want to read a book when the cover is gorgeous. Bad habit, I know!
Book Series: Covenant
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Designer: Kate Kaynak
What I love about the covers:
Well for starters I love flowers. And the flowers on these covers don't look like just another flower, they have an ethereal quality to them, which is enhanced by the tendrils of smoke rising from them. I also like that they are something different from what appears on almost every cover these days; the beautiful girl in a gorgeous gown or a hot guy which is even more tempting to just grab the book without even reading the synopsis (not that I'm complaining...LOL).
I found an interview made by another blogger @A Backward Story <--Click There's actually another cover. It's just as beautiful and keeps the flower and elements theme, this time by representing water, but find myself more mesmerized by the smokey ones. Elixir is a novella in the covenant series: Covenant #3.5
Great choice! I have been told to read Jennifer L. Armentrout books from a friend and seeing these covers makes me want to buy them all. I love tendrils of smoke and totally agree with you about the covers.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a super fan of the photograph/stock covers. Very few of them I actually like, and I enjoy new different kinds of covers or something more on the dramatic side.
I've read Obsidian (twice). I know Daemon is a jerk and I usually hate the jerk, but I can't help myself to make an exception for him. Daimon, Shadows, and am now reading Half-blood. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI love those covers too! I haven't read the books yet, but I've heard a lot of great things about them.

Thanks for stopping by! One of my friends kept suggesting her series, so I decided to give them a try.
DeleteGreat choice! I haven't read these books yet but I do love the covers!
ReplyDeleteThanks for swinging by!
DeleteI have always admired these covers, which are breathtakingly beautiful!! As you say, the flowers look very ethereal, which, of course, is why they're sucn enchanting eye candy.
ReplyDeleteThis is actually the first time I see the covers for "Daimon" and "Deity". I do prefer the colors on the covers of "Half-Blood" and "Pure" (I have a thing for blue, if you don't already know...), but the other two covers are just as lovely!
I've been meaning to buy this series, and get into it, but I have SO many books in my TBR pile already....and with TWO jobs, it's not easy to get my reading (and blogging!) done...
Thanks for sharing, and Happy Reading!! : )
Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteMy favorites are the first three covers:
Daimon because my favorite flowers are tulips.
Half-Blood because there used to be hibiscus in my yard when I was a little kid and we (my cousins and sister) always used to play them wearing them, so they remind me a part of my childhood.
Pure because I also like blue...lol
There's actually another cover. It's just as beautiful and keeps the flower and elements theme, this time by representing water, but I didn't include it because find myself more mesmerized by the smokey ones. Elixir is a novella in the covenant series: Covenant #3.5
I added the image above.
I haven't read this series, but those covers are super memorable. They are among some of the most unique out there. Who knew that so much could be done with smoke? They are feminine, mysterious and colorful. Thank you for sharing them and for adding a link to the designer. I haven't had the opportunity to familiarize myself with Kate Kaynak, so I will check out her site.
ReplyDelete"They are feminine, mysterious and colorful." They definitely are. Thanks for stopping by.
